Dana Zilber (pronounced DA-NA) redefines what it means to be FIT in today’s modern world.
A sought-after fitness empowerment coach for both individual clients and industry professionals alike, Dana has the innate ability to coach you in reaching your fitness goals whilst simultaneously drive you into discovering what you truly want in all areas of your life and directing you on how to get there.
Her acclaimed no bullshit yet compassionate approach to coaching can be traced back to her cross-cultural upbringing as a globe-trotting nomad living with her parents and brothers in such countries as Israel, Singapore and Spain. The acclimation to the distinct cultures produced in Dana the ability to instantaneously connect with people; the mobility fueled an inner confidence to handle the constant-changing environment; and the knowledge that tomorrow may result in a move unearthed the desire to make a lasting impression on all she met by imparting empowering words of wisdom that would last long after her goodbyes.
It was during her years at New York University that Dana knew that health, fitness and social interaction was her passion and yet natural to her non-conforming self, she designed her own major: Movement, Science & Philosophy of the Human Body. From this individualized and research-oriented education, she came to the conclusion that her purpose was to support others in connecting the dots between ones emotional, social and physical self to create balance.
Dana’s first order of business was to transform the Equinox Fitness Club’s Personal Training Department as a manager of the three largest training departments in the company. With her multi-faceted approach, she quickly empowered her personal trainers to reach their personal and professional goals and consequently, was part of the record-breaking team that surpassed all revenue goals for 31 consecutive months till her departure in August 2007. Her Corporate legacy was left when she created the path-breaking Personal Training Management System, the foundation of which is still used by the company today. She has gone on to serve as a Business Consultant for Personal Training Departments at various health clubs such as Club H and Crunch and to Sports Organizations and events such as the US Open Tennis Championships.
In the last decade of working with individual clients, Dana has coached countless women on losing dress sizes, looking their best for their wedding day and bouncing back from pregnancies and plateaus. It is during this journey that she simultaneously unearths a self-confidence and self-commitment within each of her clients that is unmatched. It is common to train with Dana and, while building muscle and losing fat, you collectively come up with a marketing plan for your business or the understanding and game-plan of how to make amends with your spouse. She sees you at your highest potential – her job is to get you to discover, accept, and take action on it.
A Fit Life is not just about how you look in the mirror. It’s about being internally healthy – connecting to yourself, being compassionate to others, working on what you’re passionate about, leaving a legacy AND looking hot in the process. Dana is an expert at uncovering all that in you, and coaching you in creating your ultimate Fit Life.
